The Incredible DEVIGARH HOTEL UDAIPUR

Overview:   Hotel Devigarh was the 18th century Devi Garh Fort Palace, in the village of Delwara, located in the Aravali hills of Rajasthan approximately 30 to 45 minutes outside of Udaipur. When you first catch a glimpse of the Devigarh the sight is one that will be etched in your memory.  Today, after years of restoration and reconstruction, Devigarh has regained its past glory. An imposing and impressive structure, it is now a unique all-suite boutique hotel.  The hotel has a zen like quality as the rooms are beautiful with a contemporary emphasis. The Devigarh is definitely a one of a kind retreat you will never forget.  A stay at the Devigarh is to experience the hotel. It is too far out of town to be the hotel of choice for a stay in Udaipur.

The public areas: This is an incredible building with some of the old murals still decorating the walls as shown in the picture above. The dining room offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside that is truly so beautiful it does not look real. The food was really good, we had a rack of lamb that was outstanding. The pool area, the lounging bar and many of the public rooms are really remarkable and focus on various precious metals. There are small private dining areas where you can have a incredible meal and be treated like a Maharaja.
 

The bedrooms:
Hotel Devigarh Palace has 30 luxurious and beautiful suites, each one different in design and decor and all are equipped with the most modern facilities to make a guest feel totally at home. Each suite features, a minibar, air conditioning and heating, in room safe, marble bathroom, and satellite television.  All rooms are decorated with marble and semi precious stones 8 tents are also available on request from October to March although I would recommend staying in the hotel. The Premium Suite, called Devi Garh Suite, has a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi, of its own.

The bedrooms:   All the rooms feature all the amenities you would expect in a world class hotel.  The luxury rooms have all been restored with plenty of space and wonderful modern marble bathrooms.  The suites here are incredible and come in three different categories.  Historical, Royal and Grand Royal. Some of these suites were the personal rooms of the Maharaja and his family and the opulence of these rooms is quite amazing. The web site below will cover the rooms in more detail.
