Overview: This impressive hotel was built in 1835 as a hunting lodge and converted to a palace in 1925 as the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur. It was converted to a hotel in 1957. It is an incredible hotel with stunning architecture. The Rambagh Palace resort is spread over 47 acres of tranquil, landscaped gardens, Located close to the walled ‘Pink City’, spectacular forts, and all the unique shopping bazaars of Jaipur, the Palace unveils the rich culture and history of the past rulers of Rajasthan. The palace has been restored to its former glory with refurbished rooms overlooking courtyards with fountains or gardens, with verandahs, idyllic front lawns and offers a warm intimate lobby. It is fun to relive the royal lifestyle at Rambagh.
The bedrooms: All the rooms feature all the amenities you would expect in a world class hotel. The luxury rooms have all been restored with plenty of space and wonderful modern marble bathrooms. The suites here are incredible and come in three different categories. Historical, Royal and Grand Royal. Some of these suites were the personal rooms of the Maharaja and his family and the opulence of these rooms is quite amazing. The web site below will cover the rooms in more detail.
