Overview: The hotel is located a about 30 minutes out of town which is a negative but once you get there it is worth while. The drive out is interesting. The hotel is built in a Rajastani fort setting with a temple floating in the middle of the property. Pools, flowers and lush vegetation are everywhere. These are a walk from the main building as you pass over a small bridge with a pool filled with fish below. There is no access to the rooms without going outdoors. They do have golf carts to take you to your room.
The public areas. The foyer and public rooms are not as
lavish as some of the other Oberoi hotels but beautifully
decorated and spacious. The out door eating area around the pool is spectacular at night. They float flames
in the water and feature entertainment in the middle of the pool
area. A night you will never forget. The
swimming pool is outside the main foyer on the way to the rooms.
The bedrooms: The 54 rooms are built in clusters that feature a center courtyard complete with fountain Each room features a private ornamental garden that you view form the bathroom. The large sunken marble tub features candles and bath salts for a relaxing end to a day of sightseeing. The rooms are large with a king size four poster bed, a sitting room area, armoire with a television, a desk with internet connections and the room looks out to the beautiful grounds.
The luxury tented accommodations: The Oberoi also has luxury tented accommodations that are truly spectacular. Fully air-conditioned these tents are the same as those featured at the Oberoi property at the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. The pictures below show the luxury of these tents.
