Overview: The hotel is located very close to the Taj Mahal. It takes a short 5 minute golf cart ride to reach the Taj Mahal entrance gate. Arrival here is stunning as you step into the huge outdoor area prior to reaching the foyer of the hotel. The property is full of terraced lwans, fountains and reflection pools and pavilios.The foyer is large, plush and inviting. This is definitely "the" place to stay when visiting the Taj Mahal.

The public areas. As with all Oberoi hotels the public areas are truly impressive. Huge spaces filled with comfortable seating areas and exquisite furnishings. Of course seeing the Taj Mahal out the windows is quite stunning. The dining rooms offer Mediterranean fare and a fine Indian restaurant. The Indian restaurant here also offered standard western fare which was a nice change for those dining here who would tired of or did not like Indian food. The food was excellent. The pool area shown above was large, with a lot of space for enjoying some quiet time outside.

The bedrooms: The rooms are large with a sitting room area, a kingsize comfortable bed, Amoire with TV, and the best turn down service we have ever experienced - featured in the picture above. The bathrooms are spacious and inviting. This is a very comfortable hotel room.
