India is a country where you should go first class. There are many new luxury hotel properties in India that rival any 5 star experience anywhere in the world.  The two key hotel chains are Oberoi and Taj Hotels.  These chains can be found in the cities of India. In New Delhi there is also another hotel that offers an exceptional product, The Imperial Hotel.  BK India will only organize trips using the finest hotels to ensure your comfort and level of cleanliness and service. 

OBEROI HOTELS
This is the most expensive hotel chain in India and the one we would recommend. The Oberoi chain hotels are all very new and offer a consistent level of high quality contemporary accommodation.

The top of the line in this brand are the resort hotels classified as villas and offer a unique experience where the hotel alone could be the destination. The hotels offer large rooms with king size comfortable beds with fine linens, air conditioning, TV, in room wifi computer access, sitting areas and large and luxurious bathrooms. The hotels are spread out over spacious grounds with elaborate swimming pools and architecture. The service is exceptional and gracious.  The hotels all feature multiple restaurants featuring fine dining, both Indian cuisine and an extensive continental menu with all the foods that Americans are accustomed to eating. Outdoor dining is featured in the most exotic and romantic settings.  Each hotel features water that is safe to drink from the tap in your room.  Having traveled extensively and stayed at some of the worlds best hotels, I can honestly say that the Oberoi Vilas collection took my breath away.

Oberoi city hotels in Delhi and Mumbai can best be described as contemporary upscale 5 star hotels in high rise buildings featuring luxurious accommodations.

TAJ HOTELS
The Taj Hotels vary more from area to area in their luxury and accommodations.  Many are classified as Heritage properties (over 75 years old) and offer an experience of a hotel with character and history.  These hotels will generally be less expensive than the Oberoi hotel and you need to look at each property independently to decide which hotel appeals to you the most.

THE IMPERIAL HOTEL
This is not a chain hotel but a hotel located in New Delhi.  The basic rooms here are not that impressive but when you move up one category to the next level and above the quality of the rooms improves.  The hotel itself is one of the most delightful properties. It offers a blend of the contemporary style of the Oberoi with the more traditional style of the Taj Hotels. The public rooms, restaurants, décor are exquisite, This hotel that will please even the most discerning tastes.
